Fortnite servers are going down today, March 29th, on all platforms (PC, Mac, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Switch, Android). The maintenance work will be used to load the 24.10 update onto the servers.
What’s happening in Fortnite today? Epic Games is shutting down the servers for Season 2 Chapter 4. This update is most likely the Easter update, which should bring new items and skins into play. Meanwhile, we accompany the maintenance and report to you about the ongoing downtime.
Update, 9:30 a.m.: Epic Games has disabled matchmaking. Soon the server down will be started.
Fortnite: Server Down – When and how long are they offline?
This is the downtime in the morning: According to Epic Games, the servers are expected to be shut down at 10:00 a.m. German time to install a hotfix. Matchmaking is already disabled 30 minutes beforehand, so you won’t be able to search for new rounds after 9:30 a.m.
When can you play again? This is a major update. It is therefore likely that Epic Games could restart the servers at 11:00 a.m. or even at 1:00 p.m. But that is not confirmed.

When are the patch notes coming? Epic Games usually posts a short list of patch notes on their site after the update. If that happens, we will list them briefly and clearly for you here.
What content could come with Update 24.10?
Epic Games reveals little to no new information about upcoming content before a new update. Trusted leakers like Shiina have been keeping an eye on the data that’s been hidden for a long time, and they have a rough idea of what players can expect this time. You can count on the following things:
- New cosmetic items
- An Easter event
- Neue Augments
- The Crew Pack for April
- A new “Smart Pistol” weapon?
- More content for the Battle Pass along with new collaborations
