In Fortnite, players can collect not only skins, wraps for weapons, gliders and pickaxes, but also banners. These icons are considered collectibles in the community and show how long you’ve been around. For this reason, we show you the rarest of their kind and explain where you could get them from.
What are banners? In Fortnite, banners allow you to equip an icon that represents your account and character. This is then displayed when players inspect you or you are killed by a player. Note that this will only show your opponent’s banner.

1. Alpha Tester 11
What is this banner? Only players who played the alpha version of Fortnite at the time received this banner. However, to get version 11, you had to have participated in 11 different alpha tests. This emblem is thus the rarest thing that players could have earned.
2. Battle Bus
What is this banner? Every player who also understands the meaning behind OG knows the banner with the Battle Bus. To get this cool icon, players had to reach rank 10 in Season 1 Chapter 1 and then purchase the banner in the Season Shop. At the time, Fortnite wasn’t as popular as it is now and few knew about the Battle Royale shooter. For this reason, only a few have this gem in their collection.
3. Vulture
What is this banner? Players could only get the Vulture symbol if they had played Chapter 1 through Rank 66 in Season 2. At the time, grinding to the max level of the Battle Pass was a nightmare. It took a lot of time into the game to make it this far to own the banner.
4. Dinosaur Skull
What is this banner? The dinosaur skull is another unique item that could only be obtained with a lot of work. To earn the banner, players had to play Chapter 1 through Rank 99 in Season 3. Not an easy task, because the grind for XP was also a tough task in Season 3 and only a few players have mastered this challenge.
5. Epic Games
What is this banner? The banner with the “Epic Games” logo is one of the rarer and most importantly special symbols in Fortnite. Only the employees and developers of Epic Games get this personally.
So if you come across a player with such a symbol on the battlefield, there is a high probability that it is a Fortnite developer who is taking a break from Fortnite.
