Epic Game’s latest post-summer crossover seems to be related to the animated series Futurama, and it’s coming to Fortnite tomorrow, July 26th, with a content update.
A few days ago, the new season of Futurama was released, and now, apparently, the new season will be celebrated in Fortnite. The announcement was made by the official Fortnite Twitter account and has since been shared by data miners, including a teaser video in the trailer below.
The teaser posted by Epic is set in “Mega City” and shows the iconic Hypnotoad on a large digital screen in the city. Shortly after set up, the Planet Express ship can be seen flying over and crashing into the screen of the iconic frog, causing the screen to break, similar to the iconic opening of Futurama that fans have known since the series premiered in early 1999.
The new crossover will likely include skins and other cosmetic items, as well as in-game items, but that’s just speculation.
