In Fortnite you can finally gamble on the new Chapter 4 Season 2 map. However, so that you know what has changed, we will show you in our overview and take a closer look at all changes.
What’s happening in Fortnite right now? All players are currently stuck in the loading screen due to the server down and are eagerly waiting to finally be able to play Fortnite. The season isn’t out yet, but the patch notes have made it to the surface. These report exactly on the new places in Season 2. We’ll show you what’s new.

Old map but with a futuristic city
Has anything changed? Yes, a completely new area has developed southwest of the map.
You can see the following new POIs:
- Kenjutsu Crossing
- Knotty Nets
- MegaCity
- Steamy Springs
The POIs are new places that have not appeared in any season or chapter. If you are near the Mega City, feel free to visit Loot Lake. There you will see a floating surprise.
Why aren’t there multiple changes? If you look at the complete map, you can see that nothing has changed in Season 2 apart from the Mega City. Places like Frenzy Fields or the Citadel are still intact and can be explored.
The story in Season 1 didn’t offer much reason for huge changes or destruction of the map. It just formed a rift over a portal that once again threw different pieces from different realities onto the Chapter 4 map.
