On Saturday, Fortnite hosted the Fracture event, which ended the third chapter and opened the fourth a few hours later. Several new characters have already been confirmed in the trailer and loading screen for Chapter 4, but fans who have analyzed every frame of the launch trailer believe they may have spotted something, or rather someone else.
As Hypex first pointed out on Twitter, the character many think they’ve spotted is Gray Fox from Metal Gear Solid. An incredibly blurry shot of a mysterious character has caused a lot of controversy. Based on the responses, as well as the thread he spawned on ResetEra, players’ opinions are divided.
Obviously, the color scheme is the main reason why some Fortnite players believe there will be a Metal Gear crossover in Chapter 4. One of the arguments against being a Metal Gear character was why Gray Fox? The quick answer to this question, which has already been asked multiple times, is that he probably won’t be the only character if there’s a crossover. Solid Snake will obviously be the headliner, but perhaps Gray Fox will be one of the many Metal Gear characters added to Fortnite in the near future.
As discussed above, there are plenty of confirmed crossovers for Fortnite players at the moment. Hulk and MrBeast were part of the Fracture event, and Doom Slayer and Geralt were confirmed on the Chapter 4 loading screen and then showcased in the release trailer. Naturally, both of them brought a lot of items and cosmetics with them to the island.
Assuming that the latest rumors about remake of the first Metal Gear are truethen the appearance of Gray Fox in the crossover of Fortnite and Metal Gear would be quite appropriate and timely.
