Ranked is supposed to be a mode within a mode. So you will be able to choose separately for the build and non-build mode whether you also want to participate in ranked. If you have decided to do so, you will be assigned a rank after your first match in Ranked and your achievements before your selection.
There are 8 main ranks in total, with some also having sub-ranks. They are divided as follows:

What modes will there be ranked for? There will only be ranked mode for selected modes:
- Battle Royale
- non-build
Note that you will get a separate rank for build and non-build mode.
Will my rank reset? Yes, because there will be Seasons for Ranked. Epic Games kicks off Chapter 4 Seasons 3 with season zero. In this, the developers will process feedback and polish the system. Should the season end, your rank will most likely be reset.
Can I be relegated during a season? Yes, if you perform worse than your rank requires of you, you will be downgraded. However, you can level up again with good performance. If you have reached the rank “Unreal”, you cannot be relegated in the current season, no matter how badly you play.
Will there be rewards? Epic Games has also thought about rewards. You will receive urgent ranked orders before you jump off the bus.
