Fortnite servers are going down today, May 17th, on all platforms (PC, Mac, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Switch, Android). The maintenance work will be used to load the 24.40 update onto the servers.

What’s happening in Fortnite today? Epic Games is shutting down the servers for Season 2 Chapter 4. According to the developers, the update will implement the new ranked mode. In addition, some leakers believe that new skins and a possible live event could be in the data. Fortnite: Server Down – When and how long are they offline?
This is the downtime in the morning: According to Epic Games, the servers are expected to shut down at 9:00 a.m. German time. Matchmaking is already deactivated 30 minutes beforehand, so you can no longer search for new rounds after 8:30 a.m.
When can you play again? This is a major update. It is therefore likely that Epic Games could restart the servers at 11:00 a.m. or even at 1:00 p.m. But that is not confirmed.
When are the patch notes coming? Epic Games usually posts a short list of patch notes on their site after the update. If that happens, we will list them briefly and clearly for you here.
What content could come with update 24.40?
Epic Games reveals little to no new information about upcoming content before a new update.
