On December 5, 2018, Epic Games announced the arrival of new free-to-play gameplay in Battle Royale Fortnite. The next day, the owners of the Battle Pass were able to get acquainted with the creative mode in Fortnite, presented by the developers of the popular online shooter. And since December 13, 2018, it has become available to all Battle Royale users.
What is creative mode
The creative service (“Sandbox”) is an online multiplayer game in which Fortnite gamers can independently invent new buildings, introduce original gameplay elements, create quests, and invite friends to team fights on their island.
In it, as in the Royal Games, the stages of building a map are thought out, there are several blocks intended for equipment, a statistics menu and a game lobby for 16 users.
To use creative mode, you need:
- select Creative Fortnite mode from the Battle Royale menu bar;
- move to the shared Hub;
- using a rift, choose a shared or private world;
- fix one of the presented islands and go to it.
If you choose a pre-made mini-game, you will be given a special author’s code to enter the island. After you use it, the game will start. If you are going to build a map yourself, select Creative Fortnite and use the rift to go to the center, then choose the one you like from the 4 presented islands.
Unlike Battle Royale Fortnite, Creative Mode allows you to customize your gameplay type, starting locations, health modifiers, respawn points, training, editing, and other mini-game options.
In addition to group battles, this type of game allows you to create a 1v1 version of the gameplay. Also, the “Sandbox” is equipped with a special option, thanks to which each of the players can invite not only their teammates, but also their friends to their island.

Since the introduction of the Creative Fortnite mode, a large number of cards created by gamers have been invented. The best of them are presented by Epic Games. 12-digit mini-game codes allow you to share them with all participants in the Royal battle.

In addition to the Epic Games featured maps, there is a huge selection of mini-games, each of which is an original world created by a passionate creative person.
How to redeem the code
To participate in a custom mini-game, select Fortnite’s creative mode and then sign in to the Creative Hub. Being in its center, go to the fault and select the recommended island, then in the window that appears, enter the previously copied 12-digit code. After a while, the map will load, to which you will go through the portal to participate in the gameplay.
