Season 8 of Fortnite started in February 2019 and lasted over 2 months. In its plot, there are different characters who arrived through faults in space from parallel universes. Season 8 release date
The players were looking forward to the updates, because. the launch of the previous (seventh) episode was delayed by the developers for 2 weeks. The eighth season of the game was released on February 28, 2019. It lasted 70 days and officially ended on May 8, 2019.
Plot of the 8th season
The plot continues the story that began in the previous episode. The prisoner took control of the magma under the island to bring it to the surface and create a volcano. Such a change in the ecosystem is dangerous for all the inhabitants of the Fortnite world.
A pirate ship has docked in Lazy Lagoon.
Sea robbers landed on the map and created several camps, which are full of weapons, ammunition and resources.
Active excavations began near the volcano, during which scientists discovered new Cubes with mysterious glyphs. They began to explode, creating holes in time and space.
Fortnite Season 8 Battle Pass
As with previous seasons of Fortnite, the Battle Pass was available for purchase from the in-game store for 950 V-Bucks.
Along with the pass, gamers receive bonus items of equipment, the ability to unlock new emotions and dances, as well as access to daily and weekly tasks, for which valuable gifts are relied upon.
In honor of Valentine’s Day, the developers of Fortnite launched a promotion, thanks to which the owners of the BP of the seventh season could get a pass for free. It was only necessary to complete 13 bonus tasks before February 27th.
Season 8 map
The map in the eighth season has undergone changes. The site was moved to the northwest. In place of the Holes, the Lazy Lagoon appeared – a zone located north of the Treacherous Sinkhole. Almost the entire area of the location is flooded with water. Players can only see a few surviving Chinese-style buildings. A pirate ship is moored in the middle of the lake.
If you exit the Far House and move north, you can reach the Sunny Steps.
This location was popular with the players, because. consisted of pyramids stuffed with weapons and resources.
A new area has also appeared near the Sun Steps – Volcano. All soil in this zone is covered with lava, blackness and geysers.
Skins Fortnite Season 8
After the updates, new interesting skins appeared in the store:
- Filibuster – the image of a charismatic pirate in a long black cloak. Part of the Persian’s face is hidden by a hood, but you can see that his right eye is covered with a bandage. Mysterious signs are depicted on the fabric of the clothes.
- The hybrid is a mutant lizard suit. The green body of the hero hides the red suit. The face is hidden behind a mask, through the slits of which one can see scary, glowing yellow eyes.
- Banana is an unusual skin in the form of a greenish-yellow banana. The fruit has arms, legs and large brown eyes. This funny costume is considered one of the most popular in the game.
- Gorgon is a charming red-haired girl in beige tight trousers and a white shirt. On the belt of the heroine you can see a flask, and on her head – a green hat, decorated with a living snake.
- Spark is a mysterious female alien from another world with gray skin, pointed elf ears, long blond hair, orange eyes, and red eyelashes. The heroine is dressed in white and cinnamon harem pants, a tight red corset with golden reproaches, and an elegant brown scarf.
- The Key Keeper is a character with yellow hair and a black forehead band that is associated with Japanese anime characters. The Keeper wears a bunch of keys at his waist, wearing strange white pants that narrow at the knee, a black T-shirt, and a red and green leather jacket.
- Sequin is a charming girl, whose brilliance is simply impossible not to notice. The heroine dresses up in a black T-shirt and gloves, wide golden trousers. Her dark skin is adorned with glowing gold tattoos.
- Gorn – a gloomy monster born from hot lava. The character is dressed in black steel armor that glows as if it were red-hot. The image is complemented by sharp spikes on the shoulders.
