Initially, the developers of Epic Games intended to end the season on September 24, 2018. But later it was decided to extend the episode for another 2 days (until September 26).

The plot and characters of the 5th season of Fortnite

At the end of the previous game episode, spatial cracks began to appear in the world of Fortnite. In Season 5, the rifts widened, through which various objects from the real world entered the map, incl. whole locations.

Courageous agent Jones asks for the help of all gamers – you need to make sure that not a single creature that has entered the world can escape from the Loop. New characters enter the game, including Pancake Cowboy, Gladiator, Baby Yoda, and The Mandalorian.

A crack in space above the Null Zone created a large purple cube-shaped creature. This bunch of energy was nicknamed Kevin (Russian gamers called the creation Xian). Throughout the season, the cube moved around the island, creating magnetic domes.

At the end of the episode, Kevin visited Loot Lake, entered the lake, and disappeared. At the same time, the water acquired a purple color and became quite elastic.

Subsequently, the lake was called Leaky – it can also be seen on the map of the next, 6th season.

New locations

3 new locations appeared on the Fortnite world map at once. One of them is a place called Lush Palms. The desert area is covered with mountains and hills – here you need to try to quickly find cover on a hill in order to more effectively attack your opponents.

North of the Palms you can see the race track. There are almost no chests in this zone, but it is possible to ride at high speed.

Another interesting place is Lazy Lunki. This is a spacious golf course with many chests. If you have purchased the Battle Pass, you will be able to play a mini-game using balls. In this location, all-terrain vehicles are located, as well as an abandoned house full of a variety of weapons. Here are the most furious battles.

A Snowy Village has appeared in the western part of the map. The abandoned village is located on the slope of a picturesque mountain. In this zone, you can find 8 space rifts for teleportation, which is convenient if you need to quickly get away from the enemy squad.

all-terrain vehicle

Fortnite developers have pleased the players with a new car. An all-terrain vehicle is a small, compact vehicle that looks like a golf cart. The car moves quickly both on the tracks and off-road. In addition, it fits 4 characters at once, so gamers have the opportunity to go to battle together.

The disadvantages of the all-terrain vehicle can only be attributed to a limited supply of health. If the car is often shot at, it rolls over, takes off and falls, it will fail over time. After the start of Season 5, a new natural zone appeared on the map – the Sandy Desert. This place is located where the Ruins once were. The territory is filled not only with sand, but also with beautiful rock formations of bright purple color.

The Zero Point is located on the territory of the new natural zone. There are regular fights between warring teams. Gold bars and other treasures are hidden throughout the location, but it is better to be careful: if you stop for a few seconds, the quicksand will begin to drag your Persian.

Limited Time Modes

In the new season, a new popular mode with a time limit has appeared – “The Spy Inside”. According to the plot, during the battle, a team of secret agents will engage in battle with a group of spies. The winners will be able to receive game currency and other valuable prizes.
